My instrument is the violin. I have played it since age 14. I started in the 7th grade in orchestra class. The first violin I used was a smelly 3/4 size violin in a beat up case that I borrowed from the school, Cabrillo Junior High School in Ventura California. I don't live there anymore. In fact I live in another state. The year was 1975 when I first started playing. The following year my parents bought for me a Joseph Lorenz Violin at Sears for 74 dollars. I still have that violin.
A few years later I joined the Ventura Civic Orcestra. I played in that orchestra until I joined the Navy. I never quit the violin. I continued to play for churches and church bands until I joined the Lincoln city orchestra in Nebraska. After moving from Nebraska I live in a remote rural town. I again play for a church.
