Please define love. I'm asking this because I don't know what I'm feeling now towards someone. And is it possible to have true love over the internet?
THANKS.

Uh, I'm not sure....I liked this guy over the net for a long time and he knew it but I really kind of realized that it was hard to keep a relationship like that over the internet so we called it off. I think love is more like....to a person, love is more like someone you could spend your life with....I don't know, but I see love like...one chance....cause if you mess up, feelings will be hurt. IDK ignore me

I met my fiance online! I think that you should not make any serious decisions (such as love) about this person until you actually meet them. But it is very possible to fall in love with someone you met online. You are probably feeling an attraction to this person, you like talking to them and they make you feel good about yourself. In my opinion love takes time to start feeling for another person and requires all the senses. So it's not an immediate feeling that you may have about someone. It's hard to really define love because I think that everyone experiences it differently and at different times.

I think it is easy to be initimate with someone online, when you are typing, you can let your guard down a little more than you would in person. This can give you a jumping off point for developing a deep relationship with someone that you met online, but ulitmately you need to meet them in person before real love can develop. I say this because online, you are only getting to see one side of the person, and to be in love it means accepting the whole person, the good, the bad and the ugly.

He said he could go here and spend time with me.

At this point, you haven't met, so its hard to be committed to someone you haven't met. I'd say for now it is fine if he likes someone else.....but once you meet, if you decide to pursue a relationship, you would have to be pretty clear about what you expect from him, IE: monogamy.

The Bible says alot about love. I would like to say that true real love is different than what most people think it is. I truely deeply love a man, but God told me to leave him, because we didn't know how to love each other right.
First of all what I have learned is that if you don't have God in your life as first and foremost, you can't love or be loved correctly. You have to know God as father, husband, and savior, to know what love is. Our emotions come from God, and are fashioned after Him. So to test love, I think the best way to start is to really try to know God, and study what the Bible says about love first, and about who God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit are. Ask for guidance from the Holy Spirit, and He will teach and lead you.
You have to know God's love before you can ever know real love on earth.

Also you have to remember that He wants love to be between you, Him, and the other person, not just the two of you. You have to have the right relationship with God first, and He has to be FIRST in your life, always.

While we're on this topic....my fiance is a non Christian. I know that a lot of people say you shouldn't marry a non Christian, but I really feel that he will accept Christ into his heart at sometime in his life. The hardest part about it is being patient with him, and letting him come to know and love God when he is ready to make that commitment. I guess the only thing I can do is pray for him, and keep reminding myself that this decision is between him and God.
